JEJAK MENARA GADING 2009
On 6th-8th March 2009, we were organizing a “Jejak Menara Gading 2009” Programme in collaboration with Jabatan Penerangan Negeri Selangor. This programme promotes community service and social responsibility among IIUM students by offering free motivational course to the primary school students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Tasik, Ampang.
The “Jejak Menara Gading 2009” is an educative program which focuses on helping students who will be seating for Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR), particularly in 2009. It is to be noted that this programme had been successfully held last year on 11th - 13th April 2008. The school students have been facilitated and motivated on how to manage time and have been given some tips for study based on the experience of the mentors. Thus it is our concern that the students would be able to face the examination well-prepared and pass with flying colours.
This programme has been combined with Mahabbah Day which was also a programme under Sendi Saga Club. It benefits not only the participants but all committees and mentors from various kulliyyah. With their enthusiasm and determination, “Jejak Menara Gading 2009” was a successful event and achieves its objectives. Hopefully this programme will be continued in the future.
